Project Overview
Overview
Brain-Shopping is an editorial typography project centered around hierarchy, composition, and visual communication. The spread reworks a dense, text-heavy article into a layout that guides the reader through the story with type scale, color, and deliberate use of negative space.
The Objective
Brief
Design an editorial spread that makes a long article inviting to read. Typography had to do the heavy lifting — establishing entry points, pacing, and emphasis without relying on heavy imagery.
Reflection
Designer Statement
This project taught me how much personality type alone can carry. Playing with scale, weight, and color let me turn a wall of text into something expressive while keeping it readable from the first glance to the last line.
